Traditional Reserves

To place materials on traditional reserve, faculty members or graduate assistants should submit materials and a completed form to the 1st floor circulation/reserve desk at least one week prior to the date the material is needed.  New lists should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the date the material is needed.  Requests can also be submitted using the online form or by e-mailing traresv@auburn.edu.

Library owned items, as well as personal copies of items, may be placed "on reserve".  Journals, special collection materials, and reference materials cannot be placed on reserve.  Any videos or CD's placed on 2-hour or 4-hour reserve can be viewed and listened to in the music listening room at the service desk which is located on the 1st floor of the RBD Library.

The library is not responsible for the damage or loss of the instructors' personal materials placed on reserve.

At the end of each term, all materials will be taken off of reserve unless prior arrangements are made to keep materials on reserve for another term. Personal materials that are not picked up by the instructor will be returned through Campus Delivery.

Tips on getting materials placed on reserve in a timely manner:

Type or print the form legibly.

Indicate all the semesters that the materials are needed on reserve.

Provide an office telephone number and an e-mail address in the event there are any questions.

Bring the completed form and the items you wish you to place on reserve to the reserve desk.

Submit items at least one week before the materials are needed.
