Carrels

Carrel Information

75 carrels with a minimum of 2 people assigned to each carrel. You will need to work out a schedule with your carrel partner.

To obtain a carrel, you must visit the Circulation Business Desk

• Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
• Friday 8:00 am – 4:45 pm

Carrel assignment are given out on a first come, first serve basis. Carrels are available to anyone in the following categories:

• Registered for Class # 8990
• Registered for Class # 7990
• Untenured faculty members with book contract/grant project
• Faculty member with book contract/grant project
• Undergraduate writing honors thesis #4990
• Faculty member
• Retired faculty
• Graduate student
• Others

Assignment is for one year and must be renewed in person annually.

No charge for the carrels, unless you lose your key, which will incur a $50 key replacement fee.
