The Veterinary Medical Library provides services and collections which primarily support the teaching, clinical applications, and research of the College of Veterinary Medicine. The Library assists other Auburn University faculty, staff and students, especially in the fields of agriculture, biological sciences, nursing and pharmacy.

Additionally, the Library supports the animal health information needs of the Charles S. Roberts Diagnostic Laboratory, Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station, United States Department of Agriculture Regional Lab for Fish Diseases and Parasite Research, Alabama Department of Forensic Medicine, and veterinary practitioners. The Veterinary Medical Library maintains over 30,000 volumes and approximately 225 active paper serial subscriptions and has access to over 7,000 online scholarly journals. The materials held by the Library reflect current research and informational needs.

The library staff provides a courier service for pickup and delivery of older and lesser-used materials housed in the Ralph Brown Draughon Library. The Veterinary Medical Library will help identify and obtain materials not held by AU Libraries through interlibrary loan and various other electronic networks.

The library was completely renovated in 2005.  Click here for our photo gallery.
